Also purchased Deep Blue Promaxx 200 W/D..was wondering what size pump to purchase..and any likes/dislikes with Sicce Brand pumps..thanks

Common approach is to get around 4-5 times of turn over per hour. So, if you have a 200 gallon tank and 800-1000 gph pump would match that. Type of overflow plumbing can be worth considering. Bean animal can move a lot more water quietly then a durso.

Sicce makes a really good pump that also runs pretty quiet.

I was considering the Sicce 5.0, do you think thats good enough or too strong?

If you don't have to much height from sump to tank that seems right in line. If you think you might upgrade in the future you can go bigger and use a valve to restrict flow. May also want to consider if you want your return pump to run any other devices.

Ok thank you, I wanted to also place a protein skimmer in the wet/dry sump, you think it will be ok?..and any suggestions on a good skimmer...tank is going to be FOWLR and its 110 gallons
