Recife 40G Eco Equipment help

Just got back into the hobby and have my tank set up. I have a cheap maxijet 400 in the tank for flow, but thats not cutting it what so ever. So I have looked at the Crossflow/Gyre style wave pumps. Also in need of a ATO. Tank has no sump, everything is built in, so will have a container next to the tank and tubing ran to back of tank. Need something solid with little to no issues. Any input would be great for both things!

Picked up a used maxspect 130 local today for 30.00. Win! Trying to figure out now if I should have it horizontal or vertical in the corner of tank.

Perfect! Well it all depends on the flow you’re after.

I have mine down low in the back blowing water straight up creating very random flow in my tank.
