Anybody know on the reactor which way the lines go. Does the IN Port get connected to the skimmer pump or does it want the In coming from the top of skimmer. Hooking mine up today and need to know which the air lines go. Thank you

As pictured. The small tube running to the top of the cup, the larger one to the pump inlet.

For recirculating setups, I would encourage (strongly) that you run one of these:

Skimmers occasionally go nuts. Sometimes randomly, frequently when the sump level changes. So the cup fills to the top. The pump was drawing air into the reactor. Now it is drawing water into the reactor and melting the scrubber media. When the reactor gets full of water (in just a few quick minutes) it gets drawn into the skimmer, sump, tank. You can get a HUGE pH spike that can nuke your tank.

I got lucky as I was monkeying around with stuff and watched it happen. Had to shut down everything and drain the sump.

Yeah, once/twice a month I get a false positive shutdown on the skimmer but I get notified. No big deal.

I can report that the scrubber has raised my average pH from 7.9 to 8.2 so it was worth doing.

Thank you for your input. I’ve got just that on my skimmer cup it works awesome. Have it on there for when I leave to work out of town or a night time when I’m sleeping to shut off., also plugged into my apex which with shut skimmer off of the PH gets too high, and my solenoid will let fresh air too keep PH where I want it. I was totally worried about my skimmer draining my sump if it ever happened. So I put one of those on before I even plugged it in the first time and then did apex as secondary back up.
