Definitely wear gloves, then just get abunch of freshly mixed water nearby. Get some cutting utensils, cut em off, suck em out, then super glue the stuff you couldn't get.

I'm surprised no one has suggested Kalk paste. I take like half a teaspoon of Kalk powder and mix just enough water in to make a thick slurry. Suck the slurry up with a syringe (I use one from my Red Sea test kit) and inject some to the mouth of the paly. It will close up on the Kalk like its food. In a couple of days it's shriveled up and falls off. This also works with pest anemone's. I've done a dozen at a time with no ill effects on the tank.

Never tried this, but curious. Has anyone ever tried the majono wand on them? And if so, do they still release toxins?

I have been considering this where a few stray polyps got on a rock and started to take over.

hold the stem with a pair of tweezers with 1 hand, and use a scalpel to cut away at the base coraline with the other hand. if its not a clean cut, smear the leg that is sticking to the rock with glue/epoxy.
