Im not using filter socks anymore, and because I feed quite heavily and frequently Im getting quite a bit of carry over into my sump. That being said, I was hoping to find something that I could add to the sump in order to clean up the left overs. Snails dont seem to be an option, as they can climb out of the sump, so I was thinking maybe a larger hermit or some other kind of crab? My drains all have strainers over them, so as long as the critter isnt too small, there shouldnt be any issues with getting sucked into a pump or clogging anything. The tank is currently using the Triton method, so I'd prefer to not just vacuum the sump, as I dont want to replace the water from siphoning. Though, if there isnt a good option, I suppose I could.

Thoughts?

Someone confirm or refute this for me, but I think a sea cucumber could do the job, but I know they like sand. Still, they love detritus, and some are fun to look at :) Tiger tails in particular

You could siphon out the sump through a filter sock and then put that water back into your system.
