i am actually looking g for two feeders. One for my pico 2.5 gal tank and one for My 75g tank.

I will probably use the 75g daily to feed while I am at work. Feed pellets, no flakes

What do you suggest?

I have the Apex and use the AFS, seems like the ehiem auto feeder is popular for those without a controller.

You will like it....get two. :)

Get their feeding station too if you do want to feed flakes or any floating food from either one.....same idea as a feeding ring (plus a platform for the feeder to sit on), but works better.

I use the IntelliFeeder for my auto feeder. It's the exact same thing as the Apex auto feeder except no controller required to use it. It's identical except for color I believe. It works great and I think its a bit higher quality then the eheim feeder. I only use pellets for the feeder and it works well once you dial in the correct size on the gate for the food so that you dont feed to much or to little. I think you have to buy the power supply separate.

I have used the Ehiem feeder for the last few months with out any problems. My lfs uses the Ehiem feeders on all of there customer tanks. Just follow the setup directions, you should have few if any problems.
