I have a 12g Cadlights nano and woud like to put an inexpensive powerhead in there. It's mostly Euphyllia and zoas/palys so I don't need huge flow and I don't want to pay for anything controllable. What do you all use? thanks!

I just bought a wp-10 and it's really neat..and cheap. Also, it's wicked small. I know you don't need something that is adjustable, but it's cool to have the different options.

They have come way down in price. Probably can find one for $40. I don't think you're going to find anything good for much less and they are controllable. Also a very small footprint which is good for a small tank.
I would get the rw 4. It replaces the wp10. It's more controllable

A jabeo is your best option, especially if its going to be a Xmas gift, then your not spending! lol Aside from that, one koralia 425 is decent flow, or you can do 2 of the 240 to get the water flow nicely mixed up.
+1, I have the RW-8 and it does a great job. Remember the RW-4 will be more expensive and to be honest I'm not sure you will need all the bells and whistle in a 12 gal tank. Besides you may be able to get two items for the price of the RW-4.
I agree. The bells and whistles are tempting, but not for this tank. I just want a small footprint powerhead that is of good quality. The in-laws don't have a lot of $$ to play with so something in the $20-40 range is ok.
The small koralias run 30ish at most LFS and can find them a few $ less online.
Just for future reference... The outlet on your return should not be considered as flow. That is only connected to your turnover rate and every tank should have a good turnover rate (5-8x per hour typically) while the amount of flow is a separate measurement. Flow is recommended to be a minimum of 30x your tank volume for basic tanks. The more densly packed your rocks and corals are, the more you increase flow. Most SPS dominated tanks run 50+x tank water volume.
So, 30 x 12 = 360gph
40 x 12 = 480gph
50 x 12 = 600gph
So, 1 @425 is perfect, or me personally, would go for 2 240gph for a medium flow tank. The downside is 2 poweheads in a small tank, so in that case the rw4 or wp10 bwcomea the better option for flow advantages over a single 425.
