Please Recommend me sand that I can add straight to the DT that requires little to no prep work (cleaning, curing etc.) need to add quite a bit to cover up areas that have shifted in a 400ish DT. Hoping to do so without causing too much of a parameter swing or spikes.
Tanks been running for over a year Mixed reef.

Recommendation or past experiences please

I would use caribsea , but I prefer dry, well rinsed in clean water, and use a PVC pipe to help you place it where you want, that or a large plastic baggy opened at bottom where you want it.

The live stuff often comes w/ dieoff that could actually cause some minor issues.

I prefer seaflor special grade.

I agree with Davocean, dry washed sand to remove all silt .Try not to cover existing sand.

Agree if there is existing sand try not to bury what's living on surface or in it, so in this case I will either add a shallow amount, like half inch, or more so I'd add sand to half of tank or a section of tank if it's a very large tank.
