I'm thinking about buying a tank but I noticed something in the picture and asked the seller what happened to the center brace, he told me the tank never had a center brace. Check out what I cirled, Am I seeing things?
This seems like a great deal and if it did have a center brace let's say and was removed would this be an issue?

Have a pic of the front too? Looks like they may have notched the eurobrace for a cord to pass through?

For 200 bucks with the stand and plumbing is it worth it? I just dont won't a disaster on my floor if there should be a brace and it really helps with structural integrity.

Looking at the rim of my sons similar sized tank, I would say that the trim/ middle brace has definitely been removed. By the looks of the “cut”, it’s shaped like the center brace too. Also it happens to look like it lines up directly over the center brace along the bottom brace.
For what used tanks normally sell for I would pass. However you could order a replacement trim assembly as well. For a 90/100 gallon tank I would think you could find many more used ones in that price range. If the tank for sale included other equipment, a nice stand, etc... I may would purchase to get the other equipment and stand and trash the glass tank (could keep the tank and buy a bearded dragon or similar tho!?). In my area, somewhat rural NC, I could find a nice used 90/100 gallon tank within a month no problem.
Did you get the dimensions? Looks like it could be a 90- 48”x18” or a 120- 48”x24”. As long as the footprint is the same you have the option of a couple different ”gallon tank sizes” since most common 90 gallon tanks have the same footprint as common 75s the stand and other equipment should work fine for both. Either way I would feel kinda sketchy about filling with water and lots of money with the missing brace.

The dimensions are 36x24x21. The stand and plumbing and a couple heaters are included. He did send more pics but they are kinda dark.

I've been trying to find a 120g 48x24x24 but I'm having a hard time finding one in my area. I thought this would be the next best thing.

Yes that tank is missing the middle brace. I would pass unless you want to rig it up and add one yourself with plexiglass and nylon screws.

FWIW I would be wary of used tanks. For $1000 ( or a bit less)you should be able to get a new 120 (you would need to drill it), external overflow and diy stand. If the tank is up for two years that extra $800 only cost you $33 per month.

I found this one, it's the foot print I want 4x2 but only 16in tall. Does that really matter tho? Fish dont really swim up and down right? This tank is brand new also.
