I'm currently running an Fluval EVO 13.5 and want to upgrade. Spent the last few weeks researching and narrowing down to the Waterbox 65.4 and the IM SR-80. I love the dimension, look and cabinet options for these two tanks. However, I can't get over the fact that I hate hanging lights. Also not good for my kids when they want to look at the fishes because they view from a below angle and the LED would be right in their eyes. The EVO works wonderfully as the water blocks most of the light from their viewing angle. I did consider going the traditionally route with used old school braced tank with wood canopy on FB Marketplace but I really don't like sump. I like the simplicity of AIO system.

So I found the Red Sea MAX250 that would be perfect for my needs, however it's an outdated model and not easy to find. Or easy to find parts if I need replacement. So I'm just wondering anyone know any AIO system that comes with built in canopy and light like the RSM250?

This might be a situation where DIY is really the best option. Get the tank you really want an build the canopy you really want to make it all work. I will say that most LEDs are not meant to be housed in an enclosed canopy, so in terms of longevity, it may be important to build the canopy you want and then cut appropriately sized holes in the top with the light mounted flush against the hole. I know MANY people put their led in the hood and call it a day, but that really could decrease life. The red sea tank you mentioned used t5, if I'm not mistaken, which is much more amenable to being put in a hood due to there being no circuit boards or moving parts anywhere near the water.
