Planning out a Planet Aquarium 72x30x24 soon and total display will be 235 gal. Going to be running a UV as well. Looking at the Vortech M2(2000 gph) or L2(3100 gph).

Which would y’all recommend?

The M2 can really pump allot of water. Plumbing design can severely inhibit flow. Use 1” pipe with the M2. The L2 will be best suited for 1 1/2” pipe.

you got the right idea - vortech is best RP I've ever owned. I have mine running in-line with a huge UV and hardly any head loss...

I am in the process of upgrading to a 225 gal 72x30x24 in tank and I will go with 2 Neptune Cor 20's. That will feed the tank along with a carbon reactor and a algae scrubber with room to spare.
