I'm looking for recommendations on a good peristaltic pump to use with my system. From reading quite a few threads and reviews, seems that the Cole Parmer Masterflex is the best choice and I'm looking for model recommendations. Right now my reactor is fed via a line that is on the intake side of the Eheim recirc pump and I've got a Danner pump feeding a "consistent" water supply. I've had issues stabilizing alk and everything else in the Calcium Reactor setup is near top of the line so know that this is the weak link in the setup. Appreciate everyone's advice!

System Details:
- 600 Gallon DT
- 140 Gallon Frag/Grow Out Tank
- Would like to add more frag tanks in future (Possibly another 200 gallons worth)
- Mixed reef and only a few months old, total water volume is ~1000 gallons

Calcium Reactor Setup:
- Aquarium Engineering 50 lb Reactor
- Eheim 1262 recirc
- 25# Co2 Tank
- Electronic Carbon Doser Regulator
- Pinpoint PH Controller (Ignore Milwaukee one in pic, replaced after MACNA)
- Bad feed method which leads to inconsistencies!

I never got a direct reply on this one but ended up getting help. To others looking for something that helps stabalize a CR effluent I'd HIGHLY recommend getting a Cole Parmer pump. Highly accurate and adjustable for all your tank needs.

I use this one and replace the tubing which takes a couple minutes about every three months. Love it so far! This is older version of this pump: http://www.coleparmer.com/Product/M...odular_Drive_w_Remote_I_O_600_rpm/EW-07557-00

You can pick up for a very fair price on used market.

Here's a quick basic model guide. In a nutshell, look for a 6-600 rpm model. If the pump is in under the stand or in s room you spend a lot of time in, then I would strongly consider a brushless unit

7523-20 = brushed 6-600rpm
7523-50 = brushed .6-100rpm
7523-60 = brushless 6-600rpm
7523-70 = brushless .6-100rpm

Kamoer (sp?) apparently has a nice peri pump that is designed for calrx use. But, it's about the same price, or more than a used masterflex. The Stenner sp1 is another option, but the one I saw in use was LOUD
