Well, I've finally accumulated enough stony corals that alk is dropping faster than my water change schedule can replenish it. I think it's time to start dosing with 2-part. Is there a particular 2-part additive that is any easier or more foolproof to use than the others? I'll be dosing manually, if it makes a difference, because I don't have the budget right now for a quality dosing pump and I don't want to risk using a cheap one.

I use B-Ionic two-part; many people buy dry two-part chemicals from BRS and mix them up themselves.

Both you and your corals will hate manual dosing. :)

Good luck, i am heading down the same road. Maybe. But I already own reef fusion 2 part so i will just use that. My buddy has been using it for years without issue

I don't doubt that :) But until I can free up the funds for a dosing pump that I consider reliable enough to unleash on my tank, it's what I'm going to have to do.

Manual dosing is alright as long as your alk does not swing over 1 DKH in a day. The steadier the alk, the better.

Like others, I buy BRS dry two part and mix it myself.

Esv B-ionic here been dosing for about year keeps up with mag also although I think I have to add a tad this month it’s been about 7-8 months since I added any

I use BRS it’s cheap and works. Also with a cheap $50 jebao 2 head doser that has been working perfect for the past 5 months.
