Recommendations for a replacement external skimmer pump?

Ok, one more thought:

I bet this skimmer could be turned into an in-sump skimmer just by blocking two holes and using one of these Hydrofoamers...

I would definitely upgrade the sump before you try cleaning the pump on that skimmer. What better excuse/story for an upgrade could there ever be!?
