Hi,
Looking for compatible/colorful addition to established ProStar 90. Current occupant’s:
2 Percula Clowns
1 Coral Beauty
1 Niger Trigger
1 pincushion urchin
1 tuxedo urchin

Going to be hard with the trigger. Tank is about half the size it needs and they are an aggressive fish.

You’ll probably find nothing will be suitable as the trigger will get large and aggressive.

The trigger might be the issue when adding anything .
chances are it will think it’s live food .
unless you’re looking at something similar size . Which this in itself has its limits given the size of aquarium .
Are you planning having corals eventually ?

what about dwarf angels , small tang ,

How big is this trigger fish ?

while small , they are generally ok , and will happily live with who ever is currently in the system . The issue will be adding anything after it .

You think I should get the trigger out?
How big is the trigger?
I would take it out and rehome it if it was a medium size (4”-5”) or larger. If it’s smaller than that you could keep it for a bit longer but you will need to rehome it into a much larger tank anyway once it grows due to the size they get, how active they actually are as well as aggression.

Let me be the first to say I LOVE TRIGGERS, had a picasso and a niger many years ago BUT, they will get big, pushy and then murder stuff.

In a large fish only tank I'd say go for it, but not for your setup.

Good luck with your tank.
