Greetings! I'm planning to use 1/8-inch hardboard plywood panels to sheath my steel stand.
What flat magnets should I use to affix them?

Interesting question. My go to solution would be an adhesive like Liquid Nails. Never thought of magnets

I would drill countersunk holes and use neodymium magnets of the appropriate size. I use neodymium magnets to hold my plastic sheets to a metal stand and they work beautifully. The issue for me was gluing them to plastic. I used superglue but you have to wait 24 hours for it to cure or the vapors will damage metal finish. Ask me how I know.

Or you can use these to screw them to the plywood:

@Dan_P - I forgot to mention I need the panels need to be removable for accessing the sump.

Magnets work well. We use them on our stands and canopies. I also like this option (pics below). These are called "button fix" and are particularly good at attaching wood panels. They are removable. Since our stand are wood free, we do not use them unless a client specifically asks for heavy wood panels.

@KStatefan - I've seen tons of magnets on Amazon - some seem too small or brittle or yadda yadda - do you recall which ones you used?

This is what I used. They do not hold the panels up just hold them against the steel stand.
