Just wanting some recommendations for a reasonable reactor and pump for bio pellets. Will be going on a 90 gallon tank with light bioload. Phosphate are very low but nitrate running little high. Thanks

A maxi jet 1200 is a good choice for a pump, just need to add a ball valve to control the tumble.

Ok cool. Thanks guys. I plan to drill and tap my plumbing so the return from the reactor goes to the skimmer. I can drill and tap the ball valve or plumbing for that

I'm not sure what you mean? drill and tap plumbing?

Just use some flex hose for the intake on the maxi jet and some more flex hose going into the skimmer section of the sump. This way when you need to service the reactor it is easy to pull out.

The way I have the sump and plumbing. Have a mag 18 split between the skimmer and the tank return so I will be putting the junk from the reactor back Into tank If I don't put a fitting In the line going to the skimmer. Running a lifereef skimmer. I pmd mixer but haven't heard back yet. I am thinking of taking the 40 down so I may not need one if I do that. Have a brs dual on that tank so could use it. How much would a 40 gallon oceanic cube be worth with 20 gallon sump eshopps overflow and return pump be worth? Probably let all the rock go as well. I would say 60 lbs or so.

I modified a TLF Phosban reactor that I had (easy to do) and attached it to a MJ 1200. It works just fine.
