Hey AF Crew,
I have a 110 gal tank that I have run for several years on a miracle mud method and I am looking to switch to AquaForest. I am redoing some hardware, including my return pump. I currently run an Iwaki RXLT40 and am considering either a Varios or Cor pump replacement. I probably put 500 gph through with 100 gph through a UV to DT and the other 400 gph through the stock return.
What tank turnover are you all running through the sump?
I run a Reef Octopus Classic 150, which probably gets about 200 gph based on product literature.
I am thinking about reducing my tank turnover to maybe only 330 (3x) and adding another MP40 to increase the in tank circulation.
Also, one of my two returns is through an AquaUV 15W. With AquaForest (non-probiotic), should I keep the UV?
Also, I cannot find any literature on this, but what flow rate should I run through the reactor for Life Bio Fil media? I currently have this in my refugium floor but I think it needs to be in a reactor, right? What flowrate?
