Switching from 2x Kessil a360w to ATI 6x24w T5

Kessils have run 12hours a day at 90% intesity about 8” from surface

ATI will be:
2x Blue+
2x Coral+
Purple+

SPS are 9” from surface; mixed below.

Any recs on mounting height/time period or just plug and go? It is a dimmable procedure but do not plan on dimming.

I would be very surprised if you have any problems with plug and go. However, if it were my tank and I had a dimmable option, I would use it for acclimation.

You can pretty much just go for it. Light burning is mostly a LED thing. If you want to be safe, just put it up at 12-15 inches and lower it down a few inches every few days.

i hear bulbs need to “burn in” prior to dimming. You know otherwise?

honestly got dimmable cause i wanted the ease of a built in controller

I thought that was so.

Sorry, I don’t use a dimmable. I think you are gonna like your new lights.
