Oh no- the nightmare turf algae.
I was able to get rid of mine with a pencil urchin. Vibrant and flux did NOT work. This stuff is like a brillo pad.
Previously, I did a blackout for two weeks adding 2ml of peroxide per 10 gals at night. It slowly went away.
These are Macros that have fragile runners and creep along the rock are the hardest to manually remove. Do the best you can. You can also use a dental pick to remove it if possible. Fragments of the algae can spread though, so make sure to net any pieces that break loose. Yeah I know, it is boring as can be, but if you do it once surgically with a dental pic, the problem goes away for good. If you can take the rock out, all the better.

Other inverts that may help are: Emerald Crabs and Very large turbo snails.

Red turf algae. Only thing that’s worked for me to knock it back was my urchin. Nothing else seemed to help- scrubbing the rocks for me - I never could get enough off to make a difference. Vibrant didn’t help, it’s a stubborn algae. It can be pretty to look at- but if tou don’t want it- hard to rid the tank.
Good luck and happy reefing.
