Red algae in sand.

I have had many outbreaks in the sand bed the past couple of months. Could I get an identification? Tank is still pretty young and lightly stocked. I also have a sifting goby but doesn’t appear to be helping much.

I would guess cyano. Try to increase your flow in that area.

From my experience it is not harmful to fish, it can bother corals if it starts to cover the corals. You can siphon your sand bed to remove most of it if it’s bothering anything.
