This stuff has been growing on my tank for a little over a month. We have tryed everything possible, and now it's getting really out of hand. We have added amQuel plus- ammonia detoxifier for about that same time. We add that stuff to every water change, and nothing seems to work. Does anybody know what this stuff might be? How to get rid of it? And how to keep it from coming back? Thx in advance

If its red and slime its cyano.Better water movement should help with that.I like to use chemi clean to get thst stuff cleared him.I use little bit less than they recommend .Then i do water change

A microscope is in need here or we are all just guessing.
If you know someone with one then you can send an image to me or you can send a sample to me for identification.
I would NOT add any form of additives or chemicals till the identification is made as this will just disrupt the chemistry of the water.

Thank you for your replys, I will attempt to get a picture and post it on the forum. Then you can check it. I would be ecstatic to know what this stuff is.
