Hello. We have a 55 gallon, which was redone, due to storm sandy. overflow, sump with rock, culerpa (spelling?),a light, skimmer, powerhead,.... we have t5 lighting in the tank. Its going well, although we are getting red, spongy spots on the rocks.
Last year we did have the cyano bacteria, but it wason the sand. Is this the same thing???or is it something different? there is none on the sand, just the rocks. Hope this is enough infofor you guys, otherwise let me know what you think. At first we thought it was the coraline algae, but its soft..

Thanks :)
