Red algae

if you have not already i would try to skimm heavier and get the nutrients out of the tank, if you can get the nutrients it feeds off of out of the tank it should start to die back on its own, thats what mine did anyway.

I agree

+1
get rid of excess nutrients and use good RO water to change out a lot of water first.
You can suction up a bit of the algae to help as well.
then try chemicals. (this could take several weeks though)

it said to wait 24 hrs after my water change to turn my skimmer back on but it still makes a crap load of bubbles what should i do ?

I was having the same problem with the Cyano Bacteria less than a month ago. I added more flow and redid my aquascaping to eliminate any "dead spots" in the tank. When I say I had Cyano my sand bed was literally covered in it. Here are a couple of current pics of my sand bed now.

There is still some but hardly any.

You can see how there are only 4 points of contact between my rock and sand bed, making it difficult for detritous (sp?) to settle.

I got these results without dosing anytype of chemi, Hope this helps.

if it is still bubbling, lower the flow for the skimmer till it can be ran at full potential. this happens and it is no big deal. give it time and make sure to do the water changes.
