So a about a month ago I noticed some red algae growing in my tank. I was wanting to know what it is as in type is it harmful and how do I get rid of it. Attached is a photo.
That's cyanobacteria. Reducing nutrients can help. Extra flow can help. Manual removal helps. It looks minor at the moment so I wouldn't quite recommend Chemiclean yet.
