Red and black spots on Chromis

Just can't seem to catch a break. I bought a Bangaii and a Chromis together and put them in a 10 QT. The Bangaii stopped eatting and died within a week. He did have the white stringy poop so I was treating with General Cure.
Since I was left with just the chromis I did a water change and started copper (coppersafe). He's been in copper and doing fine. I think Im right at 30 days. Last couple days I have noticed redness on the right side of his face and two dark /black looking spots forming on his right side. I started feeding Food soaked in General Cure (all I have at the moment) and Focus 3 days ago. Any ideas what's going on?

Copper has been known to suppress symptoms of this disease, but not completely eradicate it. Suppression could be why the marks are black and not red. I would start dosing straight metronidazole every 48 hrs in addition to copper.

@Humblefish, he should continue to food soak metro as well, correct? It looks like it could be internal, and I know you've mentioned that it can spread internally.
