Note: will grow in waterflow that is low OR Very Strong (See pic above)
WHAT I have tried and results:
1) Physical Removal using Turkey baster to suck them up after they are scraped from surface.
Placed net under return outlet as I scraped the area.
Removed rock and scraped them off over sink and rinsed with tap water .
Result: Reduced numbers
2) Hydrogen peroxide 3% dosed (forgot how much the dosage was) If used a syringe and targeted directly on it, after a number of attempts bladders did change color
Results: Negligible, except where some were barely above water on return pipe. (lost color and growth stopped)
Your Experiences and Idea's on reducing or eliminating this invasive Red Algae???
