Manual says to contact tech support.....anyone had this happen? Does it mean the light is toast? I've only had it about 6-8 weeks. Thankfully I have my old Vegas I can hook up to keep my tank going. SMH

My old non hd hydra 52 did the same thing and turned out to be a motherboard issue. Contact the Ai tech team if you got the light new they will fix it for free under warranty

Thanks Ljaus. They asked for my shipping address so it sounds like it's something that will require shipping back to the factory. So far they have been very responsive with the problem. Will update when I hear back from them.

Fortunately I have my Vega's from my main tank that I'm in the process of setting back up after a move. I planned to use the Hydra 52's on a new build after the 155 is back up.

If it is a overheating issue the led should work intermittently and turn on and off as the light heats and cools. Plus it will be a solid red not blinking.

Have you tried resetting the LED? It is more then likely motherboard issue. They will probably send you a new MB and possibly ask you to ship the old one back or take a pic. But they might ask for the led to be shipped back.
