Red bug haters rejoice! Interceptor returning

I used this product for years, bathing each new frag for approximately six hours before intro, to great success. I now use Bayer, bathing each new frag for approximately 10 minutes before intro, to great success. Does Interceptor treat a wider variety of bad guys than the Bayer or is it safer to humans? Otherwise, I'm not quite understanding the euphoria. Also, do we know that Interceptors ingredients haven't been 'adjusted' since its absence? Inquiring minds....

It is used as an in tank treatment for red bugs and Bayer can only be used as a dip.

The article states that the ingredients will be the same.

The formulation will be the same as before, according to company spokeswoman Colleen Parr Dekker. The active ingredient in Interceptor is milbemycin oxime.

This is a good thing!

However, I think what surprises me, especially if this was the wonder drug for heart worms (and others), is that, to the best of my knowledge, the patent on Interceptor has expired, and no other company is selling this stuff. Similar to human drugs, once the patent expires, inexpensive generic drugs flood the market. I believe THIS is the patent on Interceptor from 1985. So why isn't some foreign drug company making this stuff...for pennies?

Can someone provide the proven instruction/direction link on in-tank interceptor treatment. Thanks!

Yay! I am about to buy what I thought were the last three pills in the Pacific Northwest. IMO this is good news for the hobby as a whole.

Ive been told Sentinel is same ingredients. Can someone help me out on how to use this stuff and what to do afterwards; water changes, carbon etc etc. thnaks
