Hey so today i noticed on MOST of my sps theres a bunch of little BLACKISH dot running around. I can see it once i touch or move them they seem to scattter really fast! at first i thought it was only my sps taht was infected until i carefully looked everywhere. I am in trouble, my whole tank seems to be infected they are not flat worms because i have dealt with flat worms before im sure theres over millions of them now ? i do feed my fish tank alot but I am going to cut down dramatically. Any idea's what kinda pest they are?

when you look really close are they black? I think red bugs are yellow w/ a red dot? but not sure since I have never had them.
They most likely are red bugs, I am pretty sure they can be colored differently, but usually have the same effect. I have had them and treated my tank with intereceptor and that got rid of them. No need to panic, just follow the instructions.

If they are black and you can easily see them without magnification and they quickly scatter, they are probably not red bugs but copepods.

Im pretty sure they are not copepods. Noob was at the same frag swap I was and there were some dirty gifts coming out of there.

where are you guys seeing flatworms in this thread? That picture is of red bugs, A LOT of them!
What the OP is describing sure doesn't sound like flat worms either. If you could get a picture that would help. Sounds like the could be a copepods but that is just a guess without actually seeing them.
IME redbugs do not scatter like that when a light is shined on them .

LOL ive been reefing long enough to distinquish copepods from other pests! they're definitely some type of pests they are not flat worms i know of that. i would say red bug's because the ones with the most little dot's the sps were browned out and has small little white dot's looks like it was being eaten slowly i DIPPED ALL MY CORALS yesterday and literlaly MILLIONS came out. And i was looking for some interceptor's but foudn out it was only prescribed....
