Hey guys. I suspect i have red bugs. Ive been told to use Sentinel shich is same ingredients as Interceptor. Anybody have experience and/or procedure how to dose and all the different steps involved please. Maybe direct me to an existing thread if there is one please. Thanks

Go back to your other thread. Red Bugs do not affect Monitipora Digitata which is the coral you are concerned about. The existing thread is your own.

Idk maybe i have an infestation of multiple parasites. I have lots of monti plates and digi's. A pair of each have been either killed or damaged. I found no visual proof of the nudibrances. I have a few acro colonies that have been browning, rtn, or stn over last few months. Frags that turn brown with no pe. But then i have some colonies that are very healthy and blossoming. I get mixed signals from the tank. Upon closer inspection on a few colonies i think i see what appears to be red bugs. Its worth doing a treatment to rule out or eliminate

Treatment with Interceptor is easy and effective if done properly. I would encourage treatment as long as you know that any shrimp, crabs might die secondary to treatment. If you can remove any Arthropods such as crabs and shrimp prior to treatment I would.

I dosed Sentinel two nights ago. Did 20% water change 12 hours later and dropped a big bag of carbon in the sump. Like others that have used this product, i experienced no crab or snail or shrimp loss. Couldnt tell you for sure that i even had red bugs so not sure if the treatment actually did its job. Time will tell i suppose. No coral or fish deaths from the treatment. A few colonies are actually exhibiting pe that were not a few days ago but that could be from the massive water change i did last week. I keep u posted. Im doing second dose on wednesday

Sentinal and Interceptor only kill Arthropods, snails, fish are not in the target group. For those using the mentioned products, if you did not kill the current shrimp and crab inhabitants then chances are good you did not kill the other Arthropods such as Red Bugs and other mite types. One should not expect coral or fish deaths, that is not the way the medication works.

Had an infestation in my tank and got cleaned up by my lennardi wrasse.
