So....I found out why my PE on some of my acros are not what I would like. Looks like I have Red bugs! I just had a quick question about this subject. All of my acros I have in the tank are frags at the moment and none have jumped the plugs yet but a few are about to. I want to know if I take them all out and dip all of them in revive once a week for 2 weeks or so will this get rid of the red bugs? I do not want to do the whole interceptor thing if I do not need to. I have a small amount of frags so it wont be to much of a pain to take out and most of them are on a frag rack. The infestation is no where near as bad as I have seen other have. I only have seen a few here or there on a couple of acros but want to dip them all to be safe. Just looking for some input.

Thanks in advance,

Aaron

I would try dipping indivually of what you can at first and if worse happens do the interceptor on the tank.

Out of curiosity, why are you against interceptor?? IMO having red bugs instead of AEFW is a blessing BECAUSE you can use interceptor and not take all your frags/colonies out. Works like a charm. Only downside is the *possible* loss of a few crustaceans.

Well because I am not sure where to get it....lol. I also didnt know if it was necessary because of the little amount of red bugs

Plenty of places sell in online. Even the smallest amount of red bugs or AEFW is too many. If it were me, I'd find some interceptor and use it. =)

Interceptor is the easiest way to rid them. Why would you want to go through the hassle of pulling and dipping corals, when its one treatment every 7 days for 3 weeks.
