Hi everyone.

I have been having a tough time with this rainbow milli. It has been losing tissue from the base slowly. All of my other acropora are doing just fine, so I decided to look a little closer. I noticed tiny little bugs on the right side of the frag plug. Do you think these are red bugs or just some type of harmless crustacean? I dip all my corals in Bayer complete insecticide. The coral has been in my tank for 6 months. The only place I see these bugs are on this frag rack. I don't see the typical yellow or red bumps on this coral that are associated with red bugs. Would a red bugs treatment be worth the effort based on what you see?

looks like pods on the rack, etc.

You wouldnt be able to see red bugs from that far honestly. Also dont mean to be a downer but that frag may already be 100% dead, kinda looks like the polyps bailed out or maybe its just the video.

It's not dead yet, but it is on the way. It is dead near the base and the polyps are not out but it still has color. The video is bad because I have a cheap phone and in addition I don't have gel filters.

I hope it rebounds for you but those are definitely pods and way bigger then red bugs. Red bugs are so small that you need to have the frag right in front of you with a magnify glass.
