Red cyno—- seeking advice

Help... having trouble... red cyno.. ive reduced feeding Mysis shrimp more than 2 month from 3 cubes to 1 cube. I’ve used Chemiclean last week. Still no effect. How many times do we need to use chemiclean? I was having high nitrates and phosphate. Nitrate was like 40ppm and Phosphate was like 0.098 ppm... been using NO3POx (10ml) for a week now. I’m having 120 gallon. What can I do To get rid of Cyno.?

^ exactly. Chemiclean is very effective on Cyano unless you under dosed.

Remember that organic carbon gives bacteria a carbon source to rapidly multiply. You cannot do this with the water born ones to lower the N and P and also expect the cyano not to take advantage of this too. This would also be true of any kind of bacterial infections in fish. High tide lifts all ships.

Hi, it is red and powder like and can be sprayed off with the turkey blaster....but will be back by next day ...

It can also be a combination of cyano and dino, is the slime also stringy and snot like? I would take a sample and let my lfs look at it with a microscope

Nah. Well maybe one or two. As long as they're healthy going into it and your water params are all ok, you should be fine.
