This skimmer's sound is unbearably loud. The pump had huge humming noise. Does this go away or I'd there a way to stop it? The only thing I can say is that it doesn't make sound when the pump has the needle Directly expose to water instead of through the hole in the pump.

Not sure what you mean by this statement can you clarify? Does it have a silencer for air line? How long has it been running? Any more details and some pictures would be helpful for people to assist.
