Six months or so ago I happened upon this species in a friends system, and got a very small piece of my own. I think it's done well for me, and seems to be confined to one of my sumps baffle areas, where it's not too bright, and has laminar flow.
My scopas hogs it down if I feed it to the display, but I worry that it may be a nuisance eventually.
Per Sprung's handy algae guide (a favorite) I think it may be red dictyota (nitopbyllum).
Can anyone affirm?
