Hi guys
I'm so happy to share my question and idea with you guys. one week a go i just purchased a beautiful red flame angle which its very active in my 90 gallon tank with 50 kg live rock and good water parameters but i am going to be worry, my flame doesn't eat anything and i have never seen nipping the live rock although he doen't seem stressed. i tried feed him with frozen food(fish eggs-lubester eggs-krill- brain shrimp ) and spiruline and brine shrimp flack with garlic additive .

guys should i be worry he is starving i think or its normal. please share your idea guys
Thanks

Are there anymore signs of behavior ..swimming in front of power head , flashing or shaking of head , avoiding the light ...? Have you given him a freshwater dip ? These questions will need answers ...!

maybe i should try bivalve but i just saw frozen type
Go to a high quality grocery store and purchase a couple of mussels and cherrystone clams if you can find them, take them home, chop them up, and see if that changes his kind. My flame LOVED the cherrystone clams.

How long have you had him? He may still be settling in.
[/QUOTi have had it for about one week or so , but today i asked pet shop she said flames are so fragile to pick food and i had to feed him soon cos most of the time they will die because of starving :(

Try soaking food in flavor enhancers like garlic or Seachem Entice. Also try to find live foods such as brine shrimp or blackworms. You could also try seaweed sheets on a clip or stuck to a rock. Also try a variety of frozen foods like brine shrimp, mysis, or i believe Hikari has an angelfish mix?

thanks dude really helpful

First of all, I'm not sure flame angels are that fragile, so don't panic. A variety of foods is good, and you can even take scallops or shrimp and finely chop them after a good rinse in purified water. Also, Ocean Nutrition makes an angel formula, FYI, so you might want to give that a try.

Have you seen him poop? Does he have white sting-like poo? If he does then he has internal worms and has a loss of appetite.

Was he quarantined or put in observation tank for 30 days?

Did he undergo Prazipro treatment?

What are some of the behavioral and physical symptoms does he have?

Do you have a current picture so we can make a diagnosis?

i haven't noticed any thing like poo so far maybe i should monitor him more often also i don,t have quarantined tank so i directly introduced him in my display tank which it is wrong i know but so far i haven't had any problem like ich or any diseases as far as i know and about the treatment the answer is no cos of my experience not enough in this hobby and fortunately i just lost a diamond goby cos of jumping out in 7 month experience in this hoppy and i'm getting addicted ;)
i will add more pick of flame morning which i appreciate let me know about this technical questions you asked and share your experience about his problem .
thanks

I would keep an eye out for these:
Stringy poop = intestinal worms
Scratching = ich, velvet or flukes
Swimming in front of power head = velvet
And if you see anything on his skin = parasites or bacterial infection

Almost all fish will take to live blackworms ( not bloodworms).

Also as leahfish said, he may just be settling in. Hope that's all it is.

hi guys
i'm so happy to tell you after 15 days he finally out of the blue start nipping the live rocks then i fed them with fish and lobster eggs and he started to pick some :). thanks guys for your guidance ;)
