Before - before you blast me for not dipping my corals - Guilty as charged.
I recently bought some corals from 3 different people.

This Saturday - I noticed tiny red flat worms on my glass (Tiny Tiny ones small than and tiny ant.
I went out got some Flatworm Solution treatment by Aquavision and followed the directions 4 Drops per 10 Gallons.

Shutdown all pumps and carbon.. waited 30 minutes.
Changed out 16 Gallons on a 60 gallon tank.
Started the Carbon and Protein skimmer.

Everything looked good as - could not see any on glass... I was told to repeat this process a week later..because of eggs.

Well it's 4 days later and already - there back in force on the glass etc.

So what can I do and what have others done to totally get rid of this pests.

Thanks in advance.

I couldn't get rid of them no matter what I tried. I ended up getting a melanarus . I haven't saw any since I put him in. Great fish.

cobraz,

im sure we all are guilty of this, but the main thing is you learned a lesson...ALWAYS dip and trust no one.

RPS All out dip is a great dipping coral on the market.

I've been successful with Salifert Flatworm exit on multiple tanks. It takes multiple tries and I overdose FE heavily (like triple the directions). I always treat multiple times even if I don't see any more. The medication is harmless to overdose, its the flatworm poisons when they die you have to look out for.

I almost leveled a tank using flatworm exit. It's not the product that you have to worry about, it's the dead flatworms. You need to get as many as you can out before treating your tank. Best way I found is to get a clear PVC tube and Syphon out as many as possible. Start the Syphon and place it into your filter sock. That way you can go as long as you want without loosing water. You collect then in the sock and once your done, just take it out and put in a fresh one.
