Is this a fromia star fish . Its labled as a red marble fromia starfish... but its black and grey not red.

Its quite active moving around alot. I kimda want it.. but do they hurt corals ? Do they eat algae ? What do they eat.. i mean i got tons of algae in my tank so if they eat that it wont starve.

But i dunno. What do you guys think ?

Anyone know what kimd of star fish this ???

Never seen one quite like that one. I had a red fromia and it only lived about a year in my tank. Unfortunately that seems to be the norm with them from what I've read. I don't think it's a threat to corals at all.

I don't think it's a fromia. I've had and have quite a few, and none look like that.

I dunno i cant find a picture online that looks anything like it lol.. its lile i have some unique starfish

This is the closest i could find. Same pattern and dots all over.. just a diff color

Aparently it might be called a friants seastar... honestly petco sold this is a fromia... i think i might return it i dunno.. ill habe to do more research on this friant seastar.

Aparently its toxic to humans ? Lol And eats clams and stuff... not the fromia i wanted.

They better take it back even though they have no warranty on salt water fish.. this is not what i wanted...
