Setting up my tank, after a few days I added a bottle of Dr. Tim's One and Only. Got my chiller working last night, now temp at 78. This afternoon, I noticed that most of the larger pieces of gravel are now sporting a "day old" red fuzz. Is this normal ? I have no clean up crew yet. Can't find snails in the local stores, only bennies. Will these help before this gets out of hand ?

Do you have some pictures of this red fuzz stuff?

I wouldn't throw in any Blennies this quickly. The tank needs to go through some as algae changes naturally. Depending what this stuff is, you might need to tailor your cuc to it. Reefcleaners.org has different cuc members that you can order and have delivered.

Delivery of everything is an issue in Hawaii. I will try to attach a pic of the new growth 20190927_191233.jpg

Well, it kind of has a cyano appearance, but that doesn't make sense for a tank that is only a few days old. Usually the first things to show up in a new tank are diatoms; therefore that would be my logical guess. They feed on silicates either in your substrate or water you use. They are typically self limiting but you can siphon them out. I wouldn't do any chemicals at this point besides what you need to do to finish your cycle.
