Red glacilaria on sandbed

Looking at purchasing red gracilaria blodgetti, does anyone know if this could be placed in the sandbed?

I’ve never had any issues sticking some of it down in the sand bed. It won’t “root” like some macros but I’ve always had good luck keeping it in the sand bed.
