Red goni won't open

I purchased a red goni about 2 months ago which has not opened since the first day I put it in. The red goni was open and happy at the lfs when I bought it. I have 3 other gonipora in the tank now, all which are doing phenomenal. I first placed it next to the other gonis on the sand bed for 2 weeks. Since it didn't open, I moved it to a lower flow area of the tank, thinking it just needed to become accustomed to the higher flow. Another 2 weeks pass and still nothing. I then give him a quick iodine and coral dip incase somehting was irritating it. Then placed it in a lower light area.
Still after all this time it is not opening. The tissue is not receding or bleaching, which I feel is a positive thing. The tank levels are as follows:
Dkh: 7.5 red sea
Cal: 400 red sea
Nitrates: 8 red sea
Mag: 1500 red sea
Salinity: 1.026 refractometer
Phosphates: .05 Hanna
Any help or suggestions to help this frag, would be a huge benefit. First two pics are the problem goni and the last pic are the flourishing gonis

Mag somewhat high but not the answer. Moderate light and water flow, temp range of 77-79 and feed 2-3X per week

My mag is 2000 and my goni is fine. My Nit is also at 0, you did not post for nitrate.

Try bumping alk to 8.5.

Yes temp is a consistent 78. I feed the others about 1 or 2 times a week

Try reducing it, if it shows signs of life, you found your answer.

I would also bump the alk too.

If a drop the nitrates, my sps start to rtn unfortunately. Just got over a bit of an issue with low nutrient levels
