Red Goniopora Colony - Decision time

after a couple of years my Goni colony got pretty big and stretching its tentacles taking up lots of room. So I’m left with a decision Do I frag or keep going? And if I frag then how do I accomplish this without a wet saw?

Flip the goni upside down, score the skeletal structure in 1/4s or however u need.
You can use a razorblade.
Then snap off with a flathead screwdriver.

I use a dremel to frag. Always score the underside of anything you cut before cutting flesh.
Less tissue damage this way.

star polyps I don’t mind. I can manage them well for now; I purposely let them grow onto the wall. With the paly rock on the bottom I agree with you. I’ve been thinking of selling the whole rock which is covered in them. Just got some new corals from WWC so I was thinking of changing things up maybe even adding rock for more room.

GSP are only on the left rock and wall on the right are hairy mushrooms

you could take out the palys and the rock with gsp and still have them growing on the back wall, that would free up some room for the goni and other corals that dont spread as fast, its a nice size but will look even better when it gets bigger.
