I bought this red goniopora a few weeks back. I dipped it and cleaned it gently with a light bristle brush. I've noticed the polyps are falling off and there's a very bad green algae growing on it that's not currently anywhere else in my tank but on that plug and it's completely covering one of the polyps.

Should I take it out? What should I do with it ?

Thanks !

How old is this tank and what's your water parameters?

Lack of color is a indicator of stress. I would lower your light intensity for a little while.

My tank is 3 1/2 months and the water parameters are great. I have two AI primes at very low intensity.

Like others said before i even read their comments. Thats not a gonipora. This is a red gonipora. Mine. The little tebtacle tips are round and flat they have no (fans) on it like yours do. How much did you pay for that ? Because what you have is like a 5$ coral as far as im concerned

Yours look like a clove polyp or maybe even a run of the mill xenia of some sort
