I have red hair algae on my Sandbed and rocks. I feed minimally. Oversized skimmer and replace filter socks every 3 days. Also run a refugium. Just did a 25% water change, i do one a month. Not sure how to rid this. I have 0 detectable phosphate and nitrates.

One treatment of this did it for me— but some people don’t like to go for the ‘chemical solution’ to a water problem right away. However I will say, the cyano never came back. Just be sure to add extra aeration /oxygenation.

Seems much the same— I’d give it a try. You’re in no rush, so if anything use a little less and you can always add a pinch more in the next few days. Best wishes!
