So I have a sebae anemone who I've had a hell of time acclimating to my tank and my wife (who is home all day) has told me that throughout the day she'll see the hermit crab climb on the 'nem and bump into him. She said the 'nem was trying to climb up the rock and ended up falling off because the same crab was in his way.

So... Should I temporarily sump this hermit crab?

Crabs can be jerks. if a hermit is preventing an anemone from climbing up a rock, then said hermit needs to go.

I remember reading about your anemone in a another thread. it doesn't need more stress.

And this is the reason I do not keep medium to larger hermits types. I am not a huge hermit fan, they eat other members of the cuc such as Stomatella and other snail type that I find to be more beneficial. Remove the hermit is my advise if it's hanging around the anemone too much. Also hermits and worms will hang around a dying invert so that could be a reason it's bothering he anemone.

Can you send us a picture of the hermit? It would go a long way in giving advise.
