Red Macro turning white and filamentous algae!

I would probably prune back the pieces that are translucent and died off to start. Keep in mind that all the changes in the tank at once can make the macroalgae grow slower or be/appear to be dormant so keep an eye on them and might need a bit of time to come around But I definitely think you are heading the right direction now!
