So I was told it was hard to keep mangroves going. I guess I'm just lucky. But for 4 months now mine have amazing roots about 7 inches and about 6 inches above the surface. I highly suggest them along with cheato if y'all want to do an all natural filtration. My tank looks crystal clear everyday and I hardly have to scrub the glass in my DT. I think my fish are more healthy too. I highly recommend them.

They don't exist without pictures...lol. I would enjoy seeing how you have them "planted".

Me too I have them in my fuge. I just stick them into the chaeto. They are just starting to sprout roots

Here some pics of my tank. Y'all helped a lot. But once it fully cycled. It's golden now. Levels hardly raise or drop and I put my first coral piece in there.

How's your set-up looks like, does it need plenty of light above it? Planning to get couple mangroves and would like to see some ideas.
For me they grow more and faster a little further away from the light. The one closer to the light is a little slow growing but the roots are still just as full as the tall one. But I have then floating. Let me know what pics you want and I'll be happy to show you.

Really the ones that are farther away from the light are just stretching to get more but looks good. I like the natural mangrove look.
