Red mushroom melting/ being eaten

Hi guys,
I can’t figure out what’s going on with my little shroom. It was doing well for the past few months and then today after work it looks very angery and struck down to almost nothing. Everything seems to be in check as far as water conditions. It’s in a low flow and light corner of my tank and my other shroom are dong just fine. Any ideas.?
I’m thinking a hermit got to it but idk of the eat shrooms

What does your fish list include and inverts please.

No changes in lighting?

I have just one clown for fish

Invert
4-5 blue leg hermits
Blood shrimp
Emerald crab
And some snails

No changes to light or flow

It happened once before when I first got it and thought something smacked on it. It was coming back strong until now

Just keep an eye on it for now, especially if its looked good for the last couple of months. It may be digesting something that it ate and is just a bit shriveled up at the moment, maybe you caught it at a moment after a shrimp or crab crawled across it. How large is that sunkist/reef koi? Is it close enough that it could of reached over and touched it? If it continues to stay shrunken then I might consider moving it a bit. If it's really close to that bounce I might consider moving it slightly further away just to make sure it's not getting stung.

Hmmm the reefkoi is pretty big I’d say 2-3 inch’s when fully open. I’ve never considered that it maybe stinging it but it may be close enough for it to happen. I’ll keep an eye out or maybe even move it away. Can’t all shrooms just get along haha

It looks the same this morning. Not worse so that’s a plus!!

If all shrooms could live in peace and harmony you wouldn't be able to see the sand in my tank lol. My friends yuma fell on one of her rhodactis shrooms and it killed half of the rhodactis

My wife found this Fool this morning finishing off my red shroom it’s a goner. I even go out of my way to feed my clean up crew. Grrr at least it was a 5$ frag and not my bounce haha

I once caught an emerald crab eating my acans. He was removed immediately. I have never had an issue with hermits, I wonder if your was just eating the decaying tissue of a dead shroom vs actively hunting down and eating a healthy living mushroom.
