I have a little bit of a mystery, so not too long ago I had posted that I was having problems with red mushrooms and how they were taking over in my tanks, the worst being in my 10 gallon cube. Last week they started disappearing, melting or I’m siphoning them up. What I can’t understand is why no other corals are being affected even my blue and green mushrooms have not budged but in these two photos you can see the difference between a couple weeks ago and this week. Parameters are all still the same, I change my water every week if not twice, the only thing I’ve done is add a couple of Zoa. I’m stumped, anybody have an idea on how this might have happened?? I’m sure others would be grateful to know lol

With all the water changes, nutrients were likely reduced

My routine has not changed for three years. This has never happened before and it’s only happening to the red mushrooms not the green or the blue or any other corals

Have you changed flow or salt type?

Instant ocean salt for three years and I’ve only changed the power of the flow once two years ago when I put in a new pump. They have flourished since then. Don’t change direction of the flow very often to keep the BTAs happy
